Agen Bola reported, Borussia Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek is to miss the first three months of the new season after undergoing hip surgery.
Piszczek has been a key component in Dortmund’s success in recent years, with the right-back adding another dimension to Juergen Klopp’s side with his pace and attacking industry.
The Poland international joined the Westfalenstadion outfit from Hertha Berlin in 2010 and has since gone on to win a host of honours, including two Bundesliga titles and one DFB-Pokal crown.

Piszczek featured in last season’s UEFA final defeat to German rivals Bayern Munich, but will have to watch the start of the new campaign from the stands following his operation.
A statement on the club’s official website read: “Borussia Dortmund right-back Lukasz Piszczek has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his right hip on Thursday. The reason for the procedure, which was performed by Prof. Dr. Dienst at the OCM Hospital in Munich, was damage to the cartilage of the joint and to the femoral head.

“The defensive specialist, who has made 162 appearances in the Bundesliga (nine goals) and won 34 caps for Poland, is “set to miss five months”, according to BVB club doctor Markus Braun.”as reported byIndo Eleven.
